Brought to you by....

Okay we are not on Seaseme Street but we are also not at home :) We are sitting at the CAC cause its O Day. We are about to have lunch then go out and enjoy the festivities.
I recently took over our FRG and now have more to look forward to. As well as some bbq from the Commander for Mother's Day, yay!
And last but not least tonight... I am going to my first Zumba class! Wish me luck, as I think it will kick my butt. Tomorrow I'm hoping that we can get to the indoor pool and play with the kids.
Well off to order some "kicken's and pies!"

Making a Baby

(this is copied from a friend, not a single dirty word!)

The Smiths were unable to conceive children and decided to use a surrogate father to start their family. On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr. Smith kissed his wife goodbye and said, 'Well, I'm off now. The man should be here soon.'

Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale. 'Good morning, Ma'am', he said, 'I've come to...'

'Oh, no need to explain,' Mrs. Smith cut in, embarrassed, 'I've been expecting you.'

'Have you really?' said the photographer. 'Well, that's good. Did you know babies are my specialty?'

'Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat'.

After a moment she asked, blushing, 'Well, where do we start?'

'Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room floor is fun. You can really spread out there.'

'Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and me!'

'Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.'

'My, that's a lot!', gasped Mrs. Smith.

'Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be In and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that.'

'Don't I know it,' said Mrs. Smith quietly.

The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures. 'This was done on the top of a bus,' he said.

'Oh, my God!' Mrs. Smith exclaimed, grasping at her throat.

'And these twins turned out exceptionally well - when you consider their mother was so difficult to work with.'

'She was difficult?' asked Mrs. Smith.

'Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to the park to get the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a good look'

'Four and five deep?' said Mrs. Smith, her eyes wide with amazement.

'Yes', the photographer replied. 'And for more than three hours, too. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had to pack it all in.'

Mrs. Smith leaned forward. 'Do you mean they actually chewed on your, uh...equipment?'

'It's true, Ma'am, yes.. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my tripod and we can get to work right away.'

'Tripod?'

'Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much too big to be held in the hand very long.'
Mrs. Smith fainted

I need

The bricks under my feet with each step
The beats pounding in my ears
The winding blowing the wispy strands of my hair
The feeling of my organs forced back
The sun beating down on my face
The people glancing at me as I speed by
The smile slapped across my face
The happiness that spreads in a heat down my arms and legs
The sweat under my arms
The sweat between my boobs
The pants stretching as my legs bend and straighten
The shirt shifting left then right with my arms
The shape of my hands holding the air
The thoughts in my head floating away
The anger leaving my body
The annoyances left behind
The sad feelings of the past left behind
All I really need is to run.

Saturday in Seoul

We took our second trip to Seoul on Saturday to get my husband's ipod fixed. It was the only open Apple dealer. A friend, Yeo, came along to help get us there and translate. Thank goodness for him or I know we never would've have made it there! We left the base at 11am and didn't get to the dealer untill like 2! It looked pretty out, but the cold wind sure fooled us. We were all cold and tired after walking everywhere. It took 4 trains, including the fast one to get us all the way there.
We made it there and they declared it was indeed broken and they would replace it. But, they didn't have any in stock till Tuesday! Well, there is no way I can take two kids and make it all the way there by myself. We left with broken ipod and tired children. We decided we should start heading home to get Yeo back in time.
This is everyone waiting for the first train of four to start our journey back to our side of the country.
We stopped at Seoul to eat at the Pizza Hut. They have formal seating and everything! It has been a long time since I have sat in a Pizza Hut. They had the salad bar and all. Though Pizza Hut in Korea caters to Korean's, we were each able to find food we would like. Yeo helped us order and did a much better job ordering than he had earlier at Popeye's. At Popeye's our order was all wrong, but we made due since we were in a hurry to get there. Yeo even ordered some seafood dish at Pizza Hut. Of course I took a photo of the grossness.
I will say they made it look pretty but it sure smelled nasty. I like some seafood, and as I get older the list is growing. Though, I can't seem to think I'd ever like muscles. The kids and I had pizza and Evan had a calzone.
We traveled the rest of the way home and sent Yeo on his way thanking him for joining us. We did not accomplish our goal with the ipod and it was a much chiller day than I had hoped. But all in all, I enjoyed going out and riding all the trains. The dinner at Pizza Hut was nice even if we were the stand outs. :)

Recap of Ali's Birthday

Ali's birthday turned into a 3 day adventure. Her actual birthday was celebrated having ice cream and then lunch, yes in that order. I so adore our Baskin Robin's lil mini shop in the BX. She licked up every drop of her vanilla ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl. She loves it when you break off the bowl and dunk it in the ice cream as well.
Saturday we went to the other base and to the post office. We got the magical box from grandma. It was filled with wonderful gifts that Ali smiled and squeaked about. It was a fairy paradise from grandma. So, many wonderful things that we never would've found here. She was madly in love.
Sunday I baked her cupcakes and we gave her our presents. Her father set up her bed tent and she bounced and played. Then after we had dinner we sat her down with her three cupcakes that spelled her name and sang to her happy birthday. She blew out all the candles one at a time and then clapped for her self. We opened one of the cupcakes and set it in front of her. She looked at it like it was gold. After her first bite it was all quickly inhaled. After she ate about half of it, she crammed the whole other half in her mouth. She then proceed to tell us all with her mouth completely full of cupcake, "I like cupcakes." She was so freaking happy and cute. We were all rolling and laughing so hard.
Her three day third birthday was great. I sure hope Xander doesn't think he will be getting a 5 day 5th birthday. On second thought, maybe a 25 day 25th birthday wouldn't be so bad. ;)
