Homemade

I finally did it. I ordered a custom camera strap from Etsy to personalize my camera and give it more padding. It has a wonderful lens cap holder and everything. The pattern is a tattoo pattern of sorts. The colors are great to match everything. So far I'm loving it! Eventually hope to get lens snuggies and a camera bag to match. Maybe even save for my dream lens I want. Though its not as much as I thought I'd be spending.

Overpasses

Sometimes home is but a bridge away. Well at least living here it is. The bridge can mean so many things in life. But for me its usually just a sign that I'm almost home and can take off my shoes and relax.

I finally did it. I don't do it often enough. I bought myself a new pair of tennis shoes. If figure with the new work out stuff I need some support. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can run over that bridge. Maybe someday I won't freak out so much when I buy tennis shoes. After all if they get used for several years they deserve to take that last journey over the bridge before their final relaxation too, right?

Well in truth I haven't given up my last pair. They still love me, how could I let them go? They are great for the dirty jobs.

TGIF

Well, I've got one step closer to my puppy. Hopefully by next week if the Vet says he's all good he will come home with us! He is 8 weeks and a mix of white and brown. I'm super excited! I have to pick up a crate this week just in case. He is still young, so we may have to wait two weeks rather than one. I hope not, but understand. I want healthy puppy so I'm trying to be patient. Its hard to see the doggie things hanging around. Makes me really miss Arrow. It also excites me knowing Quiver will be ours soon. The kids are excited and can't wait either.

We ran errands today, it was so bitter cold. It had that bone chilling, gonna get frost bite feel! We are suppose to go see Valentine's Day(the movie) tomorrow so I sure hope it warms up more! We may even catch Planet 51 for the kids first. Not sure if they will behave for that long. I also need to get to the commissary tomorrow. I'm glad that we have that close by. I forget how expensive food is at real grocery stores. It really amazes me how people can even afford to eat! You would think all Americans would be anorexic due to no food cause of prices!

Chicken butt.

Okay for real, it snowed again today. We canceled our plans which means more to do tomorrow. That stinks but oh well. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have a new puppy. We did pick up a collar, leash, bed, toys and food bowls last night. I'm rather excited about it. I know it will be more work for me, but more love in the house.

Well I'm off to watch a movie with Evan, hope to update soon with new puppy pics!

375 degrees and snow outside

I baked! I started with cookies first. Of course desert before dinner, hehe. I made Pillsbury Valentine's Day chocolate chip cookies. They came out perfect as normal.

After I made desert I decided to create something all new. Using ingredients I had in the house I made what I'm calling Baked Garlic Chicken 5 Cheese Penne. It smelled, looked, and tasted yummy. If anyone decides they'd like the recipe let me know!

The kids loved it! Its like a grown up macaroni and cheese!

I also caught up and did January's calendar page. Using the same Storybook templet by CG Essentials it came right together. I used Winter Wonderland kit by Just Jessa Designs as well. She is gonna take a break from designing so be sure to stop by her stores for a huge sale!
